On October 2, 2002 Bungalo joined with the Oak Park Area Lesbian and Gay Association (OPALGA) to host a candidate forum at the Berwyn Public library. Eight candidates running for local state of Illinois Senate and House of Representative districts attended. Of those in attendence four were winners. Those winning office were Deborah Graham, Don Harmon, Robert Molaro and Karen Yarbrough. The event was a success and Bungalo plans to host another candidate event at the next election.
